[Smoke Doors for extension of the Legal Regime on Fire Safety in Buildings and Venues]

      According to Law No. 15/2021 "Legal Regime for Fire Safety in Buildings and Venues", all buildings are required to employ a "fire safety Officer" trained by the Fire Department to provide continuous service. In the past, many building or commercial building trade committees or management companies have made preparations in advance to check whether the building access evacuation and stair smoke doors need to be repaired. Due to the proximity of the "Legal Regime for Fire Safety of Buildings and Venues", many building trade committees/management offices have recently received inquiries to replace smoke doors.

1. Keep the original door frame, only replace the door fan;

2. Only replace the hardware on the door door;

3. Door with clear/wire glass window.

      In order to reduce the budget of such projects, we understand that these special requirements arise. However, for the functional type of door, the smoke door, a complete system is needed to ensure that the fire can effectively block the fire and smoke when the fire occurs, and provide sufficient evacuation time when the fire occurs. Can the above three problems be dealt with?

      Due to the use of door type products, there will be hardware and wooden door deformation problems, and can not only replace a single accessory, that is, can not only replace the door or only replace the door frame, can not only replace the hardware. If the size of the wire glass is limited, it can not be too large, and the transparent window must submit the fire inspection report of the entire door to pass the acceptance.

In addition, firefighters also have to perform the duty of maintaining safety conditions by keeping the evacuation routes clean and unimpeded and keeping the fire escape doors closed.
